I did feel a bit sorry for Dusty Anderson, the cover girl for the ‘Farm Journal’, all the other girls got to dress up a bit….

I didn’t need to, as it seems she was one of only a few of the cover girls featured who did other things, in fact she was the only one I noticed who actually had a career in films….

Seeing the board is so active I thought a contest might be in order for your favorite cover girl….other than Rita….

    American Magazine

    American Home

    Collier’s Magazine

    Coronet

    Cosmopolitan

    Glamour

    Harper’s Bazaar

    Liberty

    Look

    Mademoiselle

    McCall

    Red Book

    Vogue

    Woman’s Home Companeon

My pick is Karen X. Gaylord from Liberty.

I think Coronet and American Magazine may be the only 2 magazines I had not heard of, unsure about Women’s Home Companeon…..

    my favourite quote.

Rusty:You haven`t known me all my life.

    Danny:6 months then.

    Rusty:Seven.

    Danny:Seven then.

    Rusty:7 months,4 days,3 hours ,23 minutes.

So touching.Love the way Rita said that.

I’m guessing the answer is a resounding "yes," but I did want to ask.

(Yes, I have a reason for asking.)

This might be a cynic’s view of the movie, but underneath all the glamour, I couldn’t help but notice that the message of this movie was, that a woman shouldn’t be more successful than her man. If she is, everybody around her will be unhappy.

I tried to write down the lyrics, but since I’m not a native English speaker, it needs some help as I didn’t catch some phrases. Could anyone help me?

Let’s keep on singing „Make way for tomorrow“

The sun is bringing a new day tomorrow

Don’t let the clouds get you down,

show me a smile, not a frown.

Stand up and ______, turn about,

don’t give in, let’s give out,

to the blues just refuse to surrender,

one smile and you are a true ________,

what if it rains, and it ______ (pours?),

it only rains out of doors,

    let every frown disappear

    and you’ll find

    that tomorrow’s here.

Listen-O, this is genius calling – hear yee!

    -hear yee!

Why not gather rainbows (?) while yee may?

    -while yee may-

You may lose the _____, the_______, the_______-

laugh! Ha ha. And back in their _____.

Let’s keep on singing „Make way for tomorrow“

The sun is bringing a new day tomorrow

Don’t let the clouds get you down,

show me a smile, not a frown.
