Could anyone tell me about Elektra and Abby’s problems of obsessive compulsive disorder (esp. the counting sequence)? I did not get it.

    Appreciate a response. Thks!

The storyline didn’t focus mostly on Elektra and Abbie because I wanted to see more of Jen without the girl. It would have also been better if Abbie wasn’t in the movie. I do admit though Jen is the only one who can act which is why I saw the movie. Since I never saw Daredevil or red the comics and knowing I never will then I don’t want to compare the two. If Jen wasn’t in this movie to begin with then I probably wouldn’t have watched it because she is the only one with talent.

Were the best part of this movie. They would have been better suited to battle the X-men or a hero with powers. Elektra was better a Daredevil villain. I don’t recall any of them from the comic books except Typhoid Mary.

I bought the theatrical release and was truly dissapointed, it was not up to the par of DAREDEVIL whatsoever…

And I hated that everybody had such stupid powers, like tattoo’s coming to life… come on man…

Was any of this explained in the DC-version or?

Is it going to have even more scenes added in that the standard Director’s Cut, or is amazon just making a mistake by giving it such a big runtime on there. I’m thinking the latter, but the first would have been awesome to see.

    5. Elektra

Daredevil was not exactly The Dark Knight in the first place, which makes the decision to give his slain love interest her own movie somewhat bizarre.

To be fair, Jennifer Garner actually does kick ass as the titular heroine, imbuing all the star quality she can muster into a seriously underwritten role (she spends much of the movie rearranging fruit). Sadly, the rest of the film is as gloomy and humourless as they come, with much of Elektra taken up with Garner unconvincingly battling her "inner demons." Lifting a treetop martial arts sequence straight out of House of Flying Daggers was also less than inspired.

It seemed to me that Kirigi didn’t want to really kill Elektra. Everytime he kicked her (3 times by the way!) he looked worried and sad. And when he told her that he would take care of Abby he looked like he was about to cry. What the heck is going on! Please someone explain to me!

I am not usually a fan of critics, but love this line from a review of this movie–"The hottie lady in red has returned from the dead in the form of a cranky, listless contract killer redeemed by the love of the little girl she saves from—oh, who the hell cares."

humor is always a great way to pan a movie…

Anyone think that perhaps the reason why this movie was so terrible was because it was part of the Skrull Invasion?

I just watched this movie yesterday. What I wanna know is, how can Typhoid walk in the woods killing all the plants around her as she goes…and yet fail to kill Elektra despite the (completely superfluous) french kiss (clearly just an excuse for two hot girls to lock lips, since Typhoid can apparently just blow on people and make them sick also…)?

Ok, my syntax sucks, but never mind that. Her powers just seemed to kinda suck!

Is it because it would have taken more of her poison power to kill Elektra than Abby?

Well I know this is gonna sound like a repeated thread but just trying to stress out my point here.

No its not that she aint GOOD enough to play the character, but she aint HOT enough for it!!

Hey dont get me wrong, I’m not saying Jennifer Garner is an ugly woman,

But why must you really cast her again just for the sake of continuity ?

As depicted in the comics, Elektra is supposed to be drop dead GORGEOUS and a totally kick ass babe. She’s supposed to have a body thats so HOT its to die for ~~

Garner just doesnt have enough of those things, shes sooo woody and dead as Elektra .. Her portrayal doesnt give you that slick cool experience that Elektra is supposed to make you feel. Does Jennifer Garner look like a tough chick to you ?

Hell There are SOOOOO MUCH more actresses who could have done a better Elektra.

You have so many of the hottest women in the world constantly cast as Tomb Raider, why cant you do the same for Elektra?

Whats all this hype about Lara Croft anyway?

    Tomb Raider is SERIOUSLY~~~~ overrated.

You CANT tell me that Lara Croft is supposed to be hotter than Elektra …

First off, I absolutely loved this movie, so I don’t want any haters or trolls coming on this post and stinking it up with answers that aren’t explanatory and just trying to trash Elektra.

With that said, there were two things I didn’t understand.

    How does she have DNA?

If she is a ghost, why is she seen cleaning her apartment, saying that she’s got to get rid of her DNA?

Second, why was Typhoid supposively the treasure until Abby came along?

When they’re in the maze, Typhoid says she was the treasure and she doesn’t like being replaced. Didn’t get that either…

That’s all freedom is… an illusion.
