Not the best Jet Li movie. But lots of style. And lots of wire work. I was not dissapointed.

I thought this one was weak compared to the first. Josephine was as funny (especially where she hits the ground) but I hated that polygamy crap. Fong shouldn’t have two wives. I know concubines are a past cultural thing but TingTing shouldn’t put up with that BS ^^

The first was better. This felt like a family movie with blood…

Who else thinks like this? There aren’t many movies with these two samurai versus Chinese warrior thing. I’ve a few, but many weren’t impressive and as cool as this one…

I saw this years ago on an original HK DVD release, and watched it for the first time in ages tonight on BBC1, aside from the obvious dubbing, were a lot of scenes cut or rearranged on this version? I remember when Fong insults Mr Yu (? not too sure), the head of the red lotus cuts fong’s tendons, and makes him "lose his Kung fu". I’m not sure if this is the film i’m thinking of, but it was a definite Jet Li film, and would account for the bandages Fong wears in many of the scenes, also it seems a lot more chaotic than I remember. Can anyone help with this?

Near the end of the movie, when Fong has those eight katanas and is going down that alley with all those enemies, he claims that he will fight with the guidance of heaven. Since when is he so religious? Something like that would imply that he is quite a religious fellow, something I never picked up on in the two movies. So why is he suddenly "obsessed" with heaven and seems so religious?

Is it just me, my dad and his girlfriend who found the bit where the chicken got paralysed hilarious? And the pregnancy bit? I nearly p*ssed myself.

Am I the only one here whose noticed that the sequel is listed before the first Legend in Jet Li’s chronology of films? Can somebody explain this to me before I watch them, which I have rented as part of a Jet Li themed week of movies.

Did they come out this way, so that you’re supposd to watch the second one first….kind of like the Star Wars series, or is this just a "typo" on IMDb’s part?

    Somebody please HELP!
