Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie sure have AGED since they filmed this movie. Especially Brad. But both of them have.

Not only was it well acted but you could just FEEL the chemistry between Pitt and Jolie. It wasn’t like they just had great chemistry it was because you could just see them falling in love. I watched them closely and I just felt it . Facial expressions, mannerisms. It wasn’t an act and of course, we know that now. I really feel like that was just a thing that this movie had, that special thing that put it over the top. That happens rarely and made the acting much much better because they really were giddy around each other and it was fun to watch. At that time, they really made for a great couple. It had to be fun for them… Sorry Jen…

Anyone else catch little extra scenes or have I just forgotten alot? And I swear the sex scene on TV was more explicit than the DVD. Go figure.

    ***Spoiler***

After killing about 3 dozen "professional" assasins, did both of their companies just bent over and took it up the ass??

Both outfits reputation would be ruined.

I’ve only watched this movie once, and it’s been about a year or so, but let me see if I got this straight: They find out that they are working for rival "spy" organizations that plot to get them to assassinate each other. When that doesn’t work, they send hordes of assassins after them, and the nameless assassins all get blown away, and then Mr. and Mrs. Smith go to therapy.

So, no resolution with the organizations that are now out to kill him? And they just go to therapy? Did anyone else find this rather stupid, or did I miss an important part of the plot?

portrayed the Mrs. Smith role instead I would probably would have been more interested. And just imagine maybe Brad and Jen would probably still be together or at least not divorce so soon, not that I care about their relationship. What do you guys think, who would have been the better half to Brad’s character?

This Girl, Interrupted left us way too soon. She was Clueless, until she Just Married Ashton Kutcher. In one of her stellar roles, as nanny to child star Dakota Fanning, she learned about life and love the hard way. After figuring out the actress, and movie, you wont have to go far, search up the movie’s name on this very same site. Look for a song that was on he soundtrack that mentions bedding… the name of the song will be the title of a post in the discussion broad where you will find your next clue…

[their daughter pulls the trigger and shoots a toy doll in the head]

    John Smith: [impressed] Not bad!

I know that the original choice of Mrs Smith was Aishwayra Rai. Later Nicole signed on and after her leaving the project Brad dropped out too.

What do you think? Would they have made a good on-screen couple? Personally I would have loved to see them together.

It’s going to be called Mr. and Mrs. Jones and it’s going to be a reboot. Google News it and it’ll bring up plenty of articles.

Hollywood needs to end this reboot craze.

When they are standing back to back with glasses on, shooting everyone around them in that shopping mall. I know the song is Mondo Bongo from the soundtrack, but it’s a different version, with violins and an instrumental part at the start..

It’s not on the score OR the soundtrack, does anyone know if this version of the song is avaliable anywhere? Or do you think they just edited it and made it for the movie for that part and didn’t release it? I love that song so much, I way prefer that version to the original song!

Thank you so much if anyone can help :-)

Love her. I don’t think it’s necessary for them to adopt a Haitian. She’s donated so much to the tragedy. She’s given so much of her time to the country. She’s done more than 100 celebrities in hollywood combined. What an angel.

This is a message board, and thus your identity is kept almost completely anonymous. So considering how beautiful the man is, would you ever in the very least be willing to let your girlfriend or wife watch you kiss? Maybe a bit of fighting? Man oh man that would be so yummy. :P

Did nobody realize that the only thing that really mattered in this film was the representation of marriage? The action was fine, the storyline was whatever, but the metaphor and representations of a real relationship is what this film was about. It was of a stereotypical marriage granted, but it was still quite interesting to watch.

Marriage can get routine, like the beginning of the film showcased. They are seeing a couples counselor to "fine tune" their marriage because they are both full of unsaid words and secrets and hidden desires and everything. All very accurate to a marriage that isn’t exactly working but hasn’t gotten too far off track that it can’t be recharged.

They find out about each others’ secret, try to act like nothing is different (anyone thinking of when a partner finds out the other is cheating and maybe tries to just ignore it or deny it?) and then after analyzing the situation fully after the "confrontation" (wine bottle grab) they run away from each other to their friends.

Jane starts to blame herself ("how could I be so stupid!") which can be a typical (don’t overreact about this statement, I’m in the counseling field, many women blame themselves for relationship problems) response from many women.

Each partner runs to their friends for support. Jane’s friends blame John and find ways to analyze everything he’s done and go after him (the wedding video, etc.) John’s friend proceeds to call Jane names and gets defensive. While these aren’t ALWAYS the responses from friends, many times friends aren’t concerned with the relationship but rather with supporting THEIR friend and putting down their friend’s partner in hopes of making the friend feel better.

When they get together again and begin fighting they are releasing 6 YEARS of tension and frustration, and eventually a hidden desire for some rougher sex apparently, they begin to see the other differently. They do love each other. Sometimes, you want to kill your partner, sometimes they drive you absolutely crazy, sometimes they underestimate your abilities and what you can handle, but you do love them.

The marriage themes come through AGAIN and AGAIN in this film.

When the agencies come to attack them they work together, another characteristic of a marriage…arguing, but in the end working together and defending one another at all costs.

During the driving scene, Jane doesn’t like the way John drives. Any wives out there not like their husband’s driving?

Also during that scene is when Jane keeps asking if John is going to take care of the assassins and he says he’s getting to it, yes. Eventually, she gets fed up and just does it herself. Now this is a stereotypical marriage here remember, but me and my friends laughed at this scene because we’ll ask our husbands/boyfriends to do something and they say that they will and then days or weeks later when it still isn’t done we’ll do it ourselves, annoyed.

When John is in the tunnel and Jane is saying, "left," and he doesn’t seem to listen (from her perspective) she repeats it annoyed and John replies, "you don’t need to talk to me like that, there is no left, see?" haha classic.

Everything about this film screamed "marriage". It doesn’t matter that they were assassins, they had a lot of sex with other people, they were physically fighting, or anything else that has been focused on in the comments. The marriage metaphor is what was important with this film.

I thought this film, while it had a lot of action, was a much stronger comedy than an action/drama film.
