the way the godly miracle music that starts to play when the lawyer is talking to the blonde: you can fly!!! nobody else can fly, but you can fly!! and you’re flying to new mexico !! lol hahaha i love the look on his face and the music!! it’s like the truest and funniest thing about greed we are reminded of, how something so perfect and pure is tainted with corruption by that temptation of greed!!
the nazi guy made me laugh so hard and just all the little things like burning his mouth getting the mustache crashing to a WWII veterens party in the hitlermobile it was perfect well done to the writer
Who watches the Watchmen?
if it were a larger amount of money and they all split it in the end. And then, during the credits, we saw what each party did with their shares.
I went to go see this movie in theaters with the assumption that it would be funny. I tried to enjoy it, but it was awful! The jokes and gags were childish and unoriginal. The ending was a pathetic plug for a pathetic band that was well past its heyday. I’m sick of seeing people praise this piece of trash. Seriously, is there anyone else out there who feels the same way about this sad attempt at a comedy?
When Blain and Dyuane are playing the slot machines they are taking money out of a plastic jar. My second time watching this I noticed that the jar is marked , "Money for Homeless" lol!
When I saw this movie the first time it had a scene with the family where the girl has to poop. The dad tells her to put her butt out the window and push.
However, in the version I saw first, you see the poop hit the windshield of the police car when they are chasing them. THIS WAS FUNNY AS HELL!
I don’t see why this isn’t mentioned in ANY "alternative version" links on this site or in any posts. Hasn’t anyone else seen this version? My friends and I who were then in college rented this movie back in 2002 and everyone thought it was hilarious. Have they banned this cut since then? Ridiculous in that case!
If you look closely you can actually see the police car in the background when they get stopped and the cop’s partner is cleaning the windshield. LOL!
This movie is just too d*mn funny, so damn classic. Not one single performance is off. The part where they bet what the prostitute will or wont do and then they all jump out and say who won. OH MY GOODNESS, I was literally holding my side from laughing so hard. And the funniest part was she was actually going to do everything he named!
ok so i have never seen this movie and i read the plot and was wondering if this is a remake of its a mad mad mad mad world. They seem to have the same concept. just wanted to know
I am and im loving it!
"I smile … and murder when I smile"
I cannot believe that scene was allowed.
So how much did donald sinclair end up losing the last time i saw the scoreboard was like at $15,000,000
hahaha, awesome movie Jon Lovitz FTW!!!
they cut out so much of the funny stuff like in the bathroom where the Cuba is tryin to get the Bus Drivers hat and says VAGINA haha
also once mr bean gets hit by the car they cut the part where the lady lawyer shoouts WAIT RIGHT THERE I SAW EVERYTHING! and the driver was like O *beep* hurry get in the van!
im still watchin on tv so might be more or I might of missed some so let me know if I did
Does anyone else find it a buit sad and disturbing when the emmediate reaction to the discovery of unfaithfulnuess is anger? When the blonde girl realizes her boyfriend is cheating on her she goes ape!@#$% and starts destroying his equity. If she actually has real feeling for him shouldn’t she have been at least a little bit sad? Her reaction reveals her feelings for him to be more of a possesive love rather than anything meaningful.
One of the funniest gag’s EVER!
What is the name of the locksmith? The one who overhears the two brothers talking about the importance of they key and later follows them and tries to jump on the parachute I think. He looks so familiar, and it’s been bothering me!
Still had me laughing so hard than any movie since I last saw it. It’s just always funny imo.
The only part I didn’t find as funny were the brothers. After seeing the monster truck scene it didn’t hold up well the next time with me. *shrugs* BUT other than that, it was GREAT! and FUNNY! :D I loved it all
ruining the airport’s radar? It would have been funny to see them run from that disaster – especially, being so high up already.

For me it is:
Vera and Merril Baker are at guest services.
Vera (to Merrill): What do you think?
Merrill: It has to be some sort of scam.
Vera (excitedly): Oh good, a scam! We’ll do it.
yes. this movie has it.
"oh my god its smash mouth"
whoever came up with the idea to let all the actors do the happy-dance on stage with some contemporary and mediocre poprock-band deserves to… i dont know. its terrible, just terrible.
"makin’ movies, makin’ songs and foightin’ round the world"
Those had to be the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time. The first time I saw the movie I was like denture galore? Were those not the fakest teeth you’ve ever seen?
So does anyone know if they are going to ever make a Rat Race 2 movie someday?
Why did Cuba’s character ask one of the Lucys to put out her cigarette? He wasn’t a real bus driver, so why did he care?
She usually plays more down to earth people but in this movie she was crazier.
I call movies that are considered ‘bad’ hated movies.
What was the name of the actress who played the prostitute? I can’t find it in the cast list. She looked like Tia Carrere.
I absolutely love this movie; I have since I was 10 years old and I even just watched it again a few days ago and it holds up for me. But I was wondering which of the story arcs everyone else finds the best? For me, it would have to be the Cody brothers, because even their least funny moments are better than some other characters funniest moments. I personally die laughing everytime they destroy the airport communications tower after getting their truck pulled up the tower and the entire scene where they chase the hardware store guy who took their key, from "that uther uckin assher!" to getting thrown into the pond.
If I had to rank the storylines, I’d say:
Codys Enrico Owen (the Lucy bus was a work of genius) Pears (the whole stolen Hitler car thing was forced, but Idc because it was great) Bakers The high rollers and their over-the-top bets Nick & Tracy (just cause he’s so stuckup and boring, although the part where she tries to kill Dean Cain is one of the best parts of the movie)
Now you’re gonna die wearing that stupid little hat!
When I talk to people it seems like nobody’s seen this movie. That’s really too bad! This is one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen… my family and I watch it on holidays and crack up every time. We get blank stares sometimes cause we start quoting lines at each other when something reminds us of the movie. There’s so many hilarious parts… the scene with the brothers at the airport in the Bronco…! I laugh till I cry with that one every time. John Cleese is so funny as is Kathy Bates in her bit part. What makes this movie so great is that when you watch it more than once you pick up on more of the humor, like the black family standing behind Nick as he argues with the hotel chick about Afro-Whores or the airplane flying behind the brothers’ heads as they look for the airport.
Maybe we’re just weird, or is there anyone else out there that spouts off lines from this movie?
