Has anyone seen his appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien? They are hilarious. In his 1999 interview he talks about wanting to start an equal opportunity Ku Klux Klan with Dave Chappelle as the grand dragon LOL.

Wow. Of all his movies I like. From Bill and Ted’s excellent adventure to Speed, all the way up to on of my favorite movie franchises of all time, the Matrix, and even the new the Day the Earth Stood Still, I loved them all, but this movie is a disgrace to his portfolio.

This maybe the dullest Keanu Reeves movie ever invented. I don’t think/know it’s him, but rather his crappy character. The action sucked, the quotes and phrases sucked, they couldn’t have slapped him with a worse flick. Did he need the money that bad for this crappy movie? What the hell was he thinking when he took the script?! He’s going to play a cool cop?!

Street Kings should be a disgrace to Keanu Reeves fans everywhere. What a horrible movie.

Just saw this on DVD. Street Kings was action packed from start to finish, even the talking scenes were interesting. and yet the critics gave this movie the same mauling as the recent disappointing Righteous Kill with Al and bob. Street Kings was the better movie….seven out of ten.

What kind of crap search engine would place this higher than the move "Watchmen" when doing a search for "Watchmen" ???

Tell IMDb they need to do an overhaul, because this is pathetic.

Ok, as someone who saw the 7.X rating and thought "wow, must be a decent movie!" and then spent 90 minutes wondering if I should just shut it off or not…

THIS IS A CRAP FILM. Laughably bad in fact.

So don’t be fooled by the ratings or glowing reviews, the only way I can rationalize this is Fox Pictures or whoever has some kind of giant sock-puppet team that is manipulating things here.

To think anything less would cause me to lose hope for my fellow man.

Wow, all the jealous, overweight balding males in here calling Keanu Reeves a bad actor. And they say only women get catty and jealous. Ever notice when an actor is super good looking, you have catty males attacking him and calling him ‘gay’, ‘bad actor’, etc?

    What a bunch of haters.

I saw this movie for the 1st time tonight, I understand that the director (The same guy who wrote "Training Day") is trying to create an action packed police morality tale, for sake of (generating ticket sales,& making this "Fox Searchlight" production recouplable. I get it! But why did he have so many stereo-typed ethnic characters in his movie?! This is why society at large is afraid of certain ethic groups, because we (minorities) are perpetuated in Hollywood this way! Don’t get me wrong, I love action packed "white knuckle" adrenaline movies! But not if it fails to entertain you! This movie instead, showed the old tired familiar formula, of underpaid, greedy, envious Police who will stop at nothing to get rich by any and all means necessary! Along the way violating people’s civil and constitutional rights, insulting their ethnicity and cultures, manufacturing and "planting" evidence, illegally obtaining information, endangering Innocent bystanders to get whatever they want! Using and sacrificing hostile informants & basically being Ah*oles!! This is one of the reasons I hate crap like "The Shield" , "Training Day", "Serpico", "The Wire" & the two most disturbing stories of the 20th century, "The Infamous Rodney King Beating footage" and the sodomizing & barbaric beating of Abner Louima! The arresting officers beat Louima with their fists, nightsticks, and hand-held police radios on the ride to the station.[2] On arriving at the station house, he was strip-searched and put in a holding cell. The beating continued later, culminating with Louima being raped in a bathroom at the 70th Precinct station house in Brooklyn. Officer Justin Volpe kicked Louima in the testicles, then, while Louima’s hands were cuffed behind his back, he first grabbed onto and squeezed his testicles and then sodomized him with a plunger, causing severe internal damage to his colon and bladder that required several operations to repair. Volpe then walked through the precinct holding the bloody, excrement-stained instrument in his hand, indicating that he had "broke a man down.". I do believe there are good honest law enforcement people out there, But those are usually the ones they assign to a desk, because they may not condone the abuse of another human being, convicted felons or not! This movie and media like it,is crude ultra- violent & very distatefull!! I realize this its only a movie! But what is happening to us (society) if we waste money to see garbage like this?! we are slowly turning back into a "Gladiator" culture, where the lines between entertainment and violence are becoming increasingly hazey!!!?? Enough already!!!!

This was by Far the worst movie of 08….Keanu and Forest together were awful. This movie was a complete rip off of the shield and in some ways training day. Total predicable ending and I love the "bad guys" tell Keanu their whole plan before killing him! Did they forget he was shot in the leg before his fight with Forest….The best part of this movie was Mohr Mustache.

Hugh Laurie’s bad bald patch and Chris Evans buzz cut really annoyed me throughout this whole movie. It doesn’t add anything to the character except the equivalent of placing a giant wart on someones forehead. Evans chop job looked like a money on meth attacked him with a lawn mower, I’ve never seen a cop with a haircut that bad. It’s pointless distractions like these that pull you out of the story and remind you you’re watching actors in a bad movie.

Pretty decent movie. Too bad the producer(s)/writer(s) had to make the statement "murder is okay if the ends justifies the means". What kind of message does this leave when our hero murders police Captain Wander in cold blood, and internal affairs pats him on the back? This practice would soon lead to a police state… e.g. KGB visiting a "suspect" in the middle of the night and the suspect is never seen again.

I am almost positive is a Kimber Custom TLE 2 1911 .45acp (which is what SWAT, SIS, and Marine Recon, various other Special Forces use, great 1911 .45acp). Did they use something else and make a mistake? I took a good look and I just picked one up myself (on his, unless it is a 2005-2006 model, would look exactly like mine, which is Tacitcal Law Enforcement, since he is in SIS it might have an SIS front and back checkering on the slide).

The Kimber TLE 2 1911 is freakin great. I got lucky and got mine really cheap, they are kinda pricey but worth it, the guys who sold me mine said I should have paid a good 200-300 more but I guess it was meant for me :D. It has tritium night-sights on it, and is extremely accurate. LAPD SWAT and SIS had a choice of 5 or 6 other guns, ranging from the best of SIG, Beretta, Glock, SW, and Springfield, then Kimber. Kimber won.

Anyway it would just have been accurate to have him use that and as you could see by how he handled it, its a fantastic firearm. Hell, if Swat will use it, right?

This is what I got at the end and I’m suprised that I did did not see anyone mentioning this. In the end it felt like everything that Ludlow did was useless because he was still stuck in a corrupted system, but this time he went from being the pet of Wander to being the pet of a much more higher official who may be just as corrupted as Wander if not worst. Its like he is trap and any good cop would not want to continue in this type of environment. Just the fact that we have those in the higher up cheating and getting involve of in all sort of stuff prove that the buck does not stop with killing Wander. I saw the ending as sort of a gloomy one. Although Ludlow doesn’t go to jail and is now being protected by the higher ups, if he continues to follow his conscious and should one day find out about other corrupt things going on in the higher up that would make Wander’s sins seem like childplay’s; if Ludlow should follow his conscious like he did with Wander he will not win this time because there will not any higher officials who will have his back like he did with Biggs who represented those in higher power.

    Anyone felt like that too?

I get so tired of unnecessary rape references in film. It’s overdone in this film. The constant disrespect of women is so annoying and every two words spoken is a curse word.

Rape of the korean schoolgirls is mentioned, the scumbag cops wanted to rape Ludlow’s mexican nurse girlfriend and kill her, and Mohr supposedly tried to rape Washington’s wife.

What was the point of the directors throwing in an attempted rape scene with Wsahington’s wife? That could have been cut. Just have the guy steal the video and leave her alone, why the unnecessary attempted rape scene? What’s to gain from raping her? Perhaps they believe there is an audience of perverts who enjoy that type of crap in film.

Whenever I see "Street Kings" is playing on HBO, I try to catch the first 10 minutes or so – the "dog-eating-zipper-head" parking lot scene followed up with the slaughter in the Koreans’ house. But, by the time Forrest Whitaker arrives, I’m watching "Family Guy." Anyway, at the house, after Keyannoo finishes snuffing the four bad guys in a place he’s never been in before, he strolls over to the couch, reaches under a cushion and extracts a silver revolver. How’d he know the gun was there?

Ok, if I’ve understood the movie right then it’s like this: Wander wanted Washington killed so he let two cops, or former cops(Coates & Fremont) kill him.

But why couldnt Coates & Fremont say they were cops when Tom visited them?

Why do we have to keep giving him lead roles? He is a TERRIBLE actor. I usually like whitiker, but I felt like he fell flat on this one. The best performance was definately by Hugh Laurie(Lt. Bigs). Overall, the movie was decent at best. It was a good story, but a little hard to follow for a lot of people I am sure. At least we got to see Hugh Laurie show his skills on the big screen.

Secondly, when he escapes using the handcuff key and pointlessly fish-hooks the corrupt cop … that was just crap. What was Ludlow’s plan? To eventially get to the shovel?
