There’s probably already a million threads like this but I have to say this. To me the worst actors were…… (I’m not looking up their names, just saying their characters)

    1. Blaze. she started out okay but then….. WOW. There are no words to describe her awfulness. Marcus was very bad too so I’ll group him with her.

    2. Jonah. Suffers from ‘child trying to be cute yet coming off as very annoying’ a lot during the movie. If this were a teenager saying the things this kid says, you’d think he’s a douche. Especially how he says it. I might have been more lenient and ‘awwww’ induced if the kid could deliver right.

    3. Will. Wow….. he was pretty bad. I couldn’t understand what the hell he kept seeing in Ronnie (though to be fair, this could be attributed to the fact that all the script has them do is make out instead of actually you know like talking or getting to know each other) and part of that is based on his deadpan acting. The only feelings I got for his character were feelings of him being an ass hole. He also completely ruined his ‘MY brother died’ speech. And really? You become a man whore to feel things on the inside? BULL SH*T! You do that to feel your d!ck.

    4. The mom. I can’t believe she made my list with only like five minutes of total screen time. That’s gotta be a record. She was just terrible.

    5. Ronnie. Of course. I kept her for last because I’m sure Miley’s already been ripped to shreds but for very good reason. Bad delivery, the worst facial expressions I’ve EVER seen in my life (anybody who can rip on Kristen Stewart’s mannerisms after watching Miley’s mouth go retarded for two hours needs to go f’ck themselves!) and…. God I can’t even describe the rest of how horrible she was (oh, and did anybody else laugh their freakin’ asses off when she ruined ‘She Will Be Loved’ with her horrid voice and Liam stares at her like an idiot and goes "WOW! YOU CAN LIKE REALLY [email protected]#@" F’ckin moron! ). It’s just unbelieveable to think that someone could be this bad. I know that acting isn’t easy but it’s not that freakin’ complicated.

And of course that 7th thing about he makes her… love him and.. whatever, you’re 15.

I’m a guy that usually likes bad movies. Yesterday, I saw my friend who told me she heard this movie was awful, so that automatically meant that I had to see this!

Has anyone here ever seen that movie? I kinda doubt I will get many replies, haha, but just curious. I don’t think it was very popular or well-known.

I haven’t read The Last Song but after reading a synopsis of it, it sounds almost exactly like the story in that movie. It was about a rebellious kid who was bitter over his life/his parents divorce and is forced to stay with his dad for the summer. Then in the end his father dies of cancer, after they repaired their relationship.

Seems similar. Kinda. I could be wrong, but again, I’m just curious!

I could have held you in my arms forever, and it still wouldn’t have been long enough.

I have to say that every person I’ve seen with an irrational hatred of Miley Cyrus is a petulant child with a fear of an empowered and inspiring young woman.

    That is all.

when watching the movie in the beginning they introduce Ronny’s character so we kinda get a feel of how she is but then when it got to the middle i thought i was watching hannah montana! SERIOUSLY! MIley cant act bcuz i felt like that was all her up there and not Ronny. I wish Dakota Fanning played the part but i know she is too young =/

do or do not…there is no try. -yoda

I know the writer and he usually kills one of the lover? So who dies at the end. You can spoil it for me, not really planning on watching this, just wondering if he’s still killing lovers.

Some things they have in common.

    1. Three worded title.

    2. Disney tween sensation trying to prove herself as a "serious" actress and break away from the character that made her an icon (Lizzie, Hannah).

    3. Tragic death of the main character’s family member.

    4. Lead actress laughably plays an artistic musician.

    5. HORRIBLE reviews from most critics.

    6. Cheesy, badly acted, trivial scenes.

Anyway, which film did you guys prefer?

I actually liked Raise Your Voice more because I thought the Duffster’s crying was pretty intense. Especially compared to Miley’s bucktooth grin.

I really want to know. I mean, I am getting really sick and tired of the board and people hating on her. I just want to know what she did to make people hate her? From what I have seen she seems like a pretty nice girl. I am 21 years old and I just don’t get it. How can one girl have so many people hate her? Do you know her? Have you ever met her? Please someone answer this for me! Thanks

This girl’s acting REALLY dragged down the movie. She just needs to stick with singing, I actually like some of her music. The entire script was pretty cringe-worthy but I felt embarrassed FOR Miley while I watched it. She just can’t act. She needs to go back to music or stick with a Disney show where over-the-top acting is praised. And she wasn’t looking her prettiest either…not trying to be mean. Just being truthful.

i mean, i got to hand it to this film- most previews these days give away the entire storyline of a film in under two minutes, but i was really surprised when i saw this. first of all, in the preview they made it seem like the mom and dad were going to get back together. secondly, LUNG CANCER?! never saw that one coming. i honestly did not expect kinnear to die. i found it very refreshing that for once, i saw a movie that wasn’t so completely predictable.

What’s the deal with the scene where Miley takes her dad’s car home from that keg party? She’s all over the road, singing, drunk, not paying attention, and she crashes into a Honda Odyssey at a stop light. Then she stumbles out of her car, and you can hear the people in the Odyssey crying for help, but she’s so drunk and scared that she runs off! Then the next day, she wakes up and it’s like nothing happened! The whole accident is never mentioned again! Doesn’t this send the wrong message to teens?

    You never did.

when Ronnie sees the coon at night and screams, was seriously the biggest laugh of the whole movie. her facial expression and scream was hilarious.

But I cold have sworn that on the t.v. trailers to The Last Song, someone critiqued that it was Nicholas Spark’s best book, work, etc. Did anyone else see this? Does anyone believe this is his best work?

One thing that really bothered me in the movie was miley’s crooked front tooth. whenever i was getting into what was going on, which was not often, because her acting was very unbelievable, i always noticed the crooked front tooth. normally this would not bother me but miley is a MULTI-millionaire so she has plenty of money to meet an orthodontist or even get a set of veneers or fake teeth and if that was to much they could have at least TRIED to photoshop the tooth…hello we are in 2010 not the 60’s! I had major issues with the acting but honestly they should have given that tooth is own personal credit because it was SO noticeable!

Why did Greg Kinnear ever accept to do this movie? Ge’s been doing amazing without this kind of campy razzie-bound piece of crap… I’m just surprised, even the trailers and teasers are lame-ass
