They’ve waited years to make a wasteful sequel. Sighs. Terrible film.

This movie is set in the 60′

The story is about the FATHER of Carrie and Rachel and how he discover the telekinesis. (Because in Carrie 2 we saw that he’s the one that has the "telekinetic gen").

The guy discover his power and became evil (he won’t be a loser like his daughters, everybody will start to be afraid of him)

His girlfriend, Margaret (from Carrie), is the popular chic of the school and when she see that his boyfriend can move objects with his mind (and that he start to act violent), she try to find Jesus and became all crazy.

The title is "Genesis: Carrie 3" because:

    1) Genesis: the begining of all those chicks (Carrie and Rachel)

    2) GEN-esis: From gen (the telekinetic gen)

    3) Genesis because remind us Biblie (and how Margaret got lost and became a religious freak)

At the end of the movie the bad guy will survive (because he will have another daughter in the future named Rachel)

Do you think the movie would have worked if the ‘outcast’ character of Rachel had been male?

I don’t think a male "Carrie" would work because moviegoers don’t sympathise with male ‘victims’ the same way they sympathise with female ones.

Why kill off Sue in the end? There was no point for it.

Rachel foster parents seem pretty weird like her mother was. Rachel was better off with her mother, I understand he had to discipline her, but he didn’t have to be abusive with her. I know foster parents aren’t always nice people and you do have some mean ones.

Did Eric really like Lisa? Unlike the other guys, he made a date with her, took pictures with her (looking happy), and acknowledged her at school (similar to Jesse later with Rachel). He even seemed offended when they called Lisa a coyote date.

…"Lisa took a picture of us yesterday"

No she didn’t. He took the picture. You can see his arm stretching out to hold the camera in front of them. Was that just a mistake in the script or was he keeping that little detail to himself for a reason?

Was the dog Jesse had in his dorm at the end Walter? or did he get the same breed of dog and name him Walter because the Walter at the end looks a bit smaller and younger

    Hey everyone,

I own this movie and I still can’t figure out the ending. I was just wondering if there was any significance when Jesse looks in the mirror at the end and you can see his reflection multiple times in the background, because it pauses for a really long time before the credits roll. Did I miss something going on in the mirror? Thanks!! :)

I find it unrealistic that a school would allow students roof access where there is no railing.

I know I’m like the only person who liked this movie (and watching it now I see just how "1999" it is lol) but what fiercely pissed me off is how they censored it for the CW. When the guys pull up to the photo place and the a$$hole one is like "I’ll come pick you up, take you out" and Rachel says no, he says why not, and in the movie she says "Cuz I’m a dyke" but they SO OBVIOUSLY covered that with another person’s voice going, "Cuz I’m not into boys." So stupid.

"Dyke" is not a curse! And she wasn’t even speaking derogatorily (if that’s a word) about lesbians. She was being a b!tch to the guy because he was being a condescending a$$, and rightfully so. It’s called context! I should just buy the movie on DVD.

The scene where the dog is "hit" made this movie for me. We see Carrie pick the dog up and Walter just looks around like any normal basset hound would. Then, fast forward to the vet scene…..blood everywhere and the vet says that Walter will make it. THANK GOD!

when Rachel falls to the floor after she was humilated and the kids start laughing at her we hear Margret White’s voice saying: Their all gonna laugh at you! There all gonna laugh at you! Much like in the first movie. Why? Rachel had never met Margret. When I saw that scene I was like WTF?

I only saw parts of the movie, I started watching it near the end. Anyway, that guy that slaps Carrie and tells her shes grounded, why didn’t she report him? She should’ve gone to the police and had him arrested and convicted.

I think the reason this film fails so badly is that, unlike in the original, all the of the high school kids are shallow douche bags and complete sociopaths. What made the original film so effective is that the kids who tormented Carrie were still kids, teenagers full of hormonal imbalance and taking things too seriously, which resulted in tragedy. But in the sequel, they’re all so cartoonishly evil, we just don’t care if they get killed or maimed!

Provided that Rachel’s telekinesis is strong enough to remove a person’s limb, when that jerk slapped her and told her she was grounded, what if she used her telekinesis to rip his arm off. The arm he slapped her with, she could’ve torn it off or at least broken it and made it useless. Also, from what I understand the movie does not give her the ability of pyrokineses, the power to start fires, in addition to telekinesis, but if she ripped his arm off and she had pyrokineses, she could then cauterize the stump shut with fire.
