    Not that funny. Very overrated.

There are plently of other movies that are funny and still handle the other stuff better than this one.

When Clair taps on John’s bedroom door (after John walked down to Clair’s room) Does John hear her tap on the door? I always felt like he did but he felt like what he was doing was wrong and its conscious takes over. And from a directors stand point it seems to make more sense that way too, since John didnt tap on her door and she did(and with Johns constant battle with his conscious throughout the movie)…I dont know maybe I am just spinning my wheels here but that was my first impression…Please let me know what you think…Thanks

Does anyone know if a sequel is being planned, can’t find any up to date information about it.

The youngest sister and mom are nutty nymphos, the brother is slightly off and perverted. I never get a chance to watch the whole movie, the middle sister sister played by Rachael McAdams and the dad played by Walken seem to be the only normal ones. Am I wrong?

This was definitely one of the movies where you first saw it, the whole theater would erupt in laughter almost every line. I remember I missed so much the first time. There was a reason this movie was huge back in 05. I’d say the only other movies that come close to that kind of theater experience was Anchorman, 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Superbad. Unfortunately, I never got to see The Hangover in theaters, I bet that’d be the only movie that’d beat out Wedding Crashers. Anyone have certain comedy movies you’ll always remember seeing in theaters due to all the laughter and energy?

I’m sure its been asked before, but how easy/hard is it to crash a wedding like they did?

cos i don’t see it! i think physically she’s pretty and i like rachel mc. in general but why was owen wilson’s character so gaga over her right away? if i saw a guy no matter how hot he was, i would think he was an immature loser as soon as he laughed at his brother’s wedding vows in front of everyone, for one.

I thought it was really lame how they ruined jeremy’s wedding so john could make up with a girl he knew for 48 hrs.

he should have just come to the reception and made a speech or something equally as cheesy but to crash the actual ceremony made it really cringe worthy…and her leaving the alter and walking out, makes her a *beep* sister, too.

what, it’s too much pressure to face the guy you kissed once that you have to make a scene and ruin your sister’s wedding?

when it gets to jeremy’s wedding i press stop.

Which movie character deserved getting punched more between Sack Lodge or Dick Thornburg on Die Hard? Also who was the bigger jerk between Sack Lodge or Dick Thornburg?

Sack Lodge from Wedding Crashers, or Glenn from the Wedding Singer.

Both are basically psychotic jock alpha males, both are miraculously involved with good looking and smart women, both probably stepped on puppies in the playground while growing up, and both disrespected two of the coolest people on Earth (Christopher Walken and Billy Idol).

It’s a tough call, but I’d go with Sack Lodge.

Dude means nice guy. Dude means a regular sort of person.

When Vince Vaughn comes out of nowhere and punches the idiot in the face must have been the best screen punch ever! Or at least it must be in the top ten.

That punch by itself is enough to justify watching this movie. I watched that punch over and over again.

I just watched this again for the first time in a few years and it struck me that the whole scene with Chaz damn near ruins the movie for me.

I mean the Wilson and Vaughan characters are basically just out for a good time and do no real harm. However Will Ferrell seems warped in some way by comparision. I’m not sure if Ferrell just completely overacts the part or he was told to act like that, but something about his scenes and part seem wrong.

    Anyone else feel like this?

John McCain was at the wedding where Wilson’s character sees Rachel’s character for the first time

he shakes her father ("the senator")’s hand

    it was only a cameo

he only says like nice to meet you or something like that

    anyway, Vote for John McCain!

My girlfriend and I are watching through all the top 100 films of the noughties as published by The Times and this popped up at number 90.

Good film this but was surprised to see it on the list. I wouldn’t even put it up near other ‘frat pack’ films like Anchorman (which is in the top 100), Old School, Zoolander and Dodgeball (which aren’t). Plus i think i’d rather have Isla Fisher than Rachel McAdam ;-)

If you’re interested, you can keep up to date with our progress (and see the The Times’ full list) on our blog at:

I liked this movie up to the part where they make fun of a funeral and crash it. Perhaps it is because a loved one of mine recently died, or maybe it’s because I have my basic morals..either way I was mortified at the fact that they MADE FUN OF FUNERALS disgustingly.

I really hope that people feel the same way…if not, what the hell is this world coming to?

How old were the Cleary siblings supposed to be? I got the impression that Christina (the bride at the crashed wedding) was the eldest, Claire was next, Gloria was the youngest daughter, and then Todd was the baby brother (who was about to start art school). However, the actresses’ ages at the time of the film are actually nearly reversed:

Isla Fisher (Gloria Cleary) was 29.

Keir O’Donnell (Todd Cleary) was 27.

Rachel McAdams (Claire Cleary) was also 27.

Jennifer Alden (Christina Cleary) was 26.

I bumped into Owen when he was in town for a film festival, and our encounter went something like this:

Me: Mr. Wilson! I can’t believe it! Love your movies! How’s it going?

Owen: Oh, hi. Thank you. Things are pretty good.

Me: What does it feel like knowing you were in the funniest comedy of all time?

Owen: Gosh, that’s a strong statement, thank you. Wedding Crashers was a real hit, but I don’t know exactly how it ranks on the all-time list…

Me: Wedding Crashers…yeah, that was okay. But I was talking about Anaconda.

Owen: Oh, I see. So, how about you get out of my *beep* face now?

    WHAT A GREAT GUY!

The under the table action on Vince Vaughn about killed me with laughter. The interuptions in his talking and the fork dropping on the plate had me rolling in the isles.

    I love this movie
